Excellent writing skills and ability to conduct oral presentations to diverse populations.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, and other applicable computer skills.Knowledge of child and family development, child sexual abuse issues, and community resources.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.Ability to interact with various community and professional agencies and develop an understanding of available resources.Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and work experience in human services, criminal justice, or related field.Fulfill other duties as deemed necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the program.Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, theories and practices in the area of child physical and sexual abuse.Research latest developments and current trends relevant to the field of child abuse.Monitor the inventory and manage the ordering of education materials as needed. ![]() Assist the director with the development of community educational materials as needed.Seek out and participate in any training that would enhance the ability of the CAC to strengthen its presentation to the community and outside agencies on recognizing, reporting, and preventing child abuse.Implement and format presentations for various targeted audiences.Assist the director with the planning, coordination, and promotion of all educational initiatives and community and educational events.Provides outreach, education and plans events for local Mental Health providers in an effort to increase linkage agreements to enhance our capacity to serve children and families of diverse backgrounds and diverse needs.Seeks out opportunities with other agencies, civic groups, churches, businesses, law enforcement, medical agencies, and child protection to provide education, awareness, and training around child abuse issues and to promote the mission of the PCCAC. ![]() Additionally, duties include providing trainings to various partners and outside agencies regarding information on current trends and best practices for cases of child sexual and physical abuse. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include raising awareness of child sexual and physical abuse and its relevance and impact and to educate the community about steps to recognize, prevent and react appropriately to child sexual abuse.
